About Jessica Ash

Jessica Ash is a functional nutritionist and integrative health coach on a mission to help women reach their full potential by learning how to work with their bodies — not be at war with them. As a former PCOS and Hypothyroid sufferer, Jess spent a fair share of the first half of her life on the roller coaster that is hormone imbalances. Think insulin resistance, recovering from hormonal birth control use, adrenal “fatigue”, Hashimoto’s, severe digestive issues, horrible periods, a wrecked metabolism — she’s been through it all.

After spending more than 4 years restricting her diet, seeing expensive functional doctors and spending thousands of dollars on supplements, she decided to ditch the health and wellness trends and go back to the basics. Thousands of hours of education in biology, anatomy, endocrinology and nutritional biochemistry later she finally waved her health issues bye. By focusing on pro metabolic, functional nutrition and changing her lifestyle, Jess found so much healing and she knew she could help other women do the same. The idea for Jessica Ash Wellness was born!

As Jess started her business, she quickly realized there was a gap in the health and wellness industry that needed to be filled so she took her love for health and fitness and paired it with her passion to help women and officially created Jessica Ash Wellness in 2018.

Prior to Jessica Ash Wellness, women were often being driven by fear and self-hatred. They were making health changes because they were afraid of what would happen if they didn't and because they hated their bodies and wanted them to be different. These changes were coming from a place of stress not peace or genuine self-love. It often left them very stressed, very restricted and burnt out. They also didn't know how to navigate through the huge amount of information out there, which caused more stress and confusion. Even further, a lot of research was done on men and didn't really account for the differences between male and female physiology.

Educating women about how to celebrate their differences and live in tune with their unique system has changed so many lives by allowing women to see themselves and their bodies differently. Jess is dedicated to continuing to ask the hard questions, to research and start this conversation over and over again, so women remain empowered instead of in the dark.
